Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This policy explains what Hanime collects when you use the site, why it is collected, and what you can do about it. It applies to this website only, and not to any third-party site you reach from here.
1. What we collect
We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small.
- Server logs. Standard web-server records: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, referring page and timestamp. These are used to operate the site, diagnose faults and detect abuse.
- Session data. A session cookie so the site can remember things like your language toggle and age confirmation between pages.
- View counts. When a title page is opened we record that a view occurred so we can rank popular titles. This is stored against the title, not against you.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we keep what you submit so we can reply.
We do not ask for or store names, payment details or account passwords, because the site has no user accounts or payments.
2. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not build advertising profiles about you ourselves.
- We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. Third parties
Some parts of the site are served by other companies, and those companies receive your IP address and browser details as a normal part of serving a request. They may set their own cookies and apply their own privacy policies, which we do not control:
- Analytics. Aggregate traffic measurement.
- Advertising networks. Ads shown on the site, which may use cookies or similar technology for frequency capping and measurement.
- Image delivery. Artwork is served through a third-party image proxy and content delivery network.
See the Cookie Policy for how to limit this.
4. How long we keep things
Server logs are retained only as long as they are useful for security and debugging, and are rotated regularly. Contact messages are kept until the matter is resolved. Aggregate view counts are not tied to an individual and are kept indefinitely.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to its processing. Under the GDPR these are your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Under the CCPA you may request disclosure or deletion, and we do not sell personal information.
To make a request, write to [email protected]. Because we hold so little identifying data, we may not be able to link a request to any records, and we may ask you for information that helps us locate them.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to server data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a determined attack will never succeed.
7. Children
This site publishes adult material and is intended only for people aged 18 or over. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
