Tsumugi, a university student, bears psychological scars from a prior encounter with an overly assertive man. Seeking safety, she arranges a social gathering specifically for passive, "herbivore" men. There she meets Kaname, whose slight resemblance to her older brother puts her at ease, and the two connect. Unbeknownst to Tsumugi, Kaname's gentle persona is a facade. He is actually an aggressive "carnivore" type, capable of shifting his demeanor abruptly.
