Dearest Blue

Childhood friends Rio and Mamoru share complex mutual feelings. Rio inadvertently gains idol status after entering a beauty contest. Mamoru learns she has been designated the "sacrifice," a prize within a game played by influential figures to claim her. To serve as her protector, Mamoru joins the game both as a participant and an employee, though he must conceal this truth from Rio. His efforts may prove insufficient as reality closes in. In a moment of desperation, a completely vulnerable and naked Rio reaches out for aid, but Mamoru is unable to get to her.
