Euphoria

Six individuals are confined within an unidentified futuristic facility. They are compelled to participate in a cruel computer-simulated game where disobedience leads to fatal consequences. The group consists of Takato Keisuke, his childhood friend Hokari Kanae, classmates Ando Miyako and Manaka Nemu, underclassmate Mikaba Rika, English teacher Aoi Natsuki, and same-year student Byakuya Rinne. A disembodied voice announces the start of the game while they are disoriented. The rules state Keisuke, designated the "unlocker," must perform a specified act with a selected heroine, the "keyhole," to proceed. Upon hearing the degrading requirements, Miyako angrily protests. The room is plunged into darkness amid screams, and when the lights return, Miyako is found restrained in a torture apparatus. The voice declares that anyone refusing to play will be killed. Electrical currents activate, causing Miyako to scream and lose control of her bodily functions. The other captives panic. Keisuke, however, finds himself sexually aroused by the spectacle, revealing his hidden desire to dominate and degrade women. Nemu observes his reaction and understands his nature. She seizes the opportunity, coercing Keisuke into a submissive position and calling it a "contract kiss." Though startled by Nemu's actions, Keisuke's desire to protect Kanae motivates him. He resolves to comply with the game's violations against the others to secure an escape. The narrative questions whether he will succeed in leaving the white rooms and resuming an ordinary life, or if he will succumb to his own darker impulses.
