The will and ambition of Tokugawa Tsunai and his followers places a young heiress in danger. She calls herself Kurenai Mitanosuke and frequently adopts the guise of a samurai. More immediate peril may come from her two obsessed bodyguards, Kaki and Suki, than from the external threat. Unbeknownst to her, her safety is ensured by a mysterious one-eyed shinobi.
