Sakurako, a lovely widow, runs a little cafe called Sakurai. A new theme park, Ocean Land, has just opened its doors nearby, and as a result the cafe has been seeing fewer and fewer patrons. Then one day the man who owns Ocean Land reveals his intention to redevelop the neighborhood where the cafe stands, turning it into a shopping mall. Sakurako refuses to accept the proposal out of sentiment, but the sole means of resisting the demands is to draw in a larger customer base than Ocean Land's own cafe over the course of the summer. So it is that Sakurai, now a cosplay cafe, begins operating.
