Shin'ichiro had long held Aoi in high regard, a skilled practitioner poised to inherit leadership of the Aikido Dojo. Despite his persistent attempts to gain her attention and approval, a distance remained between them. Aoi later approached him with a personal difficulty, confessing an unease around men. She requested his assistance through therapeutic massage to help her become more at ease. During this session, Shin'ichiro's hands drifted to her breasts. This intimate contact shifted Aoi's perception, moving her view of him from that of a longtime companion to a potential romantic interest.
