Keiko Nakadai, initially employed as an office lady at the low-rated ATV network, is selected to substitute for the regular weather reporter, Michiko Kawai. During a live broadcast, Keiko deliberately exposes her underwear to the camera. This act results in a significant increase in the news program's viewership. Capitalizing on the ratings surge and the network's desire to improve its standing, ATV management assigns Keiko the weather reporter position permanently, thereby replacing Michiko Kawai.
