Captain Ralph Maskenval, a military officer, is assigned to observe the Angels in Nortland following a recent conflict. His mission involves monitoring these beings, who have been convinced that engaging in sexual activity is necessary to cultivate the "Angel Core" within them. As Ralph witnesses their behavior, he becomes increasingly uncomfortable with his duties. Upon discovering the true cause of the Angels' compelled actions, he is forced to confront a significant choice regarding his role.
