A decade of peace follows the destructive war between the Dragon God and Dragon Devil clans, which concluded with the Dragon Knights' victory and the sealing of the three Dragon Devil kings. Some members of the defeated clan, however, managed to evade capture. The aspiring Dragon Knight Rike arrives in a small village, where he is mistaken for a thief by a local girl named Karisu. When survivors of the Dragon Devil clan attack the settlement, Rike learns that Karisu possesses hidden depths. This encounter marks only the initial phase of their escalating difficulties.
