In the year 2039 in Tokyo, agents Alice and Kaoru Mikogami achieve their objective of eliminating CIA technology hacker Mercy Spectre. The operation's success is complicated when Spectre's consciousness escapes into the network. From there, it proceeds to infiltrate the minds of individuals abusing drugs.
