Shin Ringetsu - Season 1

Based on the game by Selen. A curse was placed upon the Rindo Clan in the distant past by a vengeful spirit, preventing the birth of any male children. To oppose this affliction, a tradition was established: every third generation, the clan must conceive offspring with a family noted for potent spiritual energy. From that time forward, the Higetsu family has served the Rindo as valued attendants, charged with the duty of intermingling their bloodline with that of the Rindo heir once every three generations. This custom has persisted through the ages. The present heir is Naoto, whose intended fiancée, Suzune, recently died in an accident. He now faces the obligation of selecting a substitute.
